Default Buying a spare AC adapter

I want to buy a spare AC adapter for my HP laptop.

So far my choices seem to be either a very expensive purchase from HP as an official spare part or very cheap and nasty looking units from eBay (predominantly shipping from HK.)

Any suggestions of something in between?

there are a couple cheapies on dealextreme which seem to work quite well.

I bought one from there about 6 months ago and have had no complaints.

Generally I source replacement batteries and power bricks for laptops from www.batterymall.com.au

Alternatively you can try www.pchub.com, they have replacement part of all kinds for almost all laptops, including power bricks.

Buying them genuine from the companies is ridiculously expensive. I bought a couple for work (Compaq I think) and cost around $95 each.

Targus also make / sell power supplies to suit most laptops. I've seen them in Dick Smith Electronics, however they were quite expensive (around $150).
