look for the 6 pin and 8 pin pci-e power connector first

unless they've changed yah, dont get an 8pin pci-e adapter with the 280's so you neeed one on the PSU, if its on the PSU then go give it a try .
(i know they give the molex to 6 pin but not sure aboot the 8pin)

if not then hmm i'd be lookin into a new or different psu, the corsair hx620 seems to be the popular choice these days and is fairly cheap
