Default X61T --> What do ya know?

Pplz!

My Fujitsu lappy finally kicked the bucket on the weekend after 4 years of loyal service (even surviving going over the balcony --->crazy ex gf - thanks to its ultra cooshy bag!). I must say its been a magnificent machine up until Saturday, I originally spent just over 4k on it, so it was the shizzle of its time.
As a result I had to make a quick decision on a new machine and purchased the Lenovo X61T. It will arrive in just over a month as I got it fully optioned. I went in pretty blind on this purchase because I couldn't find many reviews on it. Has anyone had a bash of one?
Meanwhile, this is what's coming my way:

ThinkPad X61 Tablet Series
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo L7700 LV (1.8GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 (Screw vista!)
12.1" MultiView + MultiTouch WVA XGA TFT, 2x3 UltraConnect II antenna
3 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM)8
160GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm4
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim5
Integrated Bluetooth PAN
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (supporting Centrino Pro)10
Wireless WAN Ready - Integrated Antenna with no Provider Card Installed65
ThinkPad X61 Tablet 8 Cell Li-Ion Battery60
Express - 1 Yr Depot Warranty7
41N8460 ThinkPad and IdeaPad 90W Slim AC/DC Combo Adapter
41U5253 Lenovo Messenger Max
73P2582 Kensington MicroSaver Security Cable Lock from Lenovo
73P4067 Lenovo Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
41U5008 ThinkPad Bluetooth Laser Mouse
40Y8519 Lenovo USB WebCam

Your POSITIVE feedback is always welcome! ;o)

Thats what i thought! =)

Another question i have is was it smart to go with XP instead of Vista? I chose it purely for better performance. But does vista have any tablet functions that i'm going to miss out on??

i think someone was mentioning vista's built in handwriting recognition features in a thread about disabled computing.
and imo vista is a lot better OS than xp and its not like a new 1.8ghz chip with 3GB of ram is going to struggle with vista.

LOL

You can go very wrong on some of there machines, I know this because i work for them.
But the x300 is ok but atm i wouldn't buy one till they sort some issues out, we have been DOA'ing alot of them lately. But the X61 is a very good Choice probably the best they make.

Have used an X60T and have to say its an excellent laptop. Only bad thing is that i actually didn't use the tablet functionality of it much so just pawned it off to a colleague and got a regular X61. Must say best laptop i have ever used. Only thing which isn't perfect is the low screen resolution (1024x768) compared to everything else out there, but once you take into account build quality, keyboard, functionality and everything else, wouldn't swap it for another laptop...
