Business Unlimited Plan. ADSL1 - true unlimited (well there's only so many seconds in a month). All you need to do to be eligible is get an ABN, not hard or expensive.

I'm on this, because there's no ADSL2 plan available at my exchange.

This plan would be awesome if the tv shows were being upped in HD. Then you'd actually use maybe 5gig per 30min.

i would think it is a 500gb plan, because they doubt anyone could max that out... therefore it is good advertising, and theoretically as they see you COULD download that much, noone will.

I've done more than my fair share of leeching, currently on tpg 150gb and was doing a good 100gb a month for a few months but its quite hard to sustain these big downloads month after month, I'm probably only doing 40-50 now and its the freedom to do 150gb one month if I ever need to that I don't downgrade, plus the fact that its $60 to downgrade a plan in contract, not worth it to save 10 a month.

I'd say that most of the people who sign up to this 500GB will probably do a few >300gb months but it wont last and they'll soon die down.

At least we get to do with our limited download quotas whatever we wish to. A few of the major US ISP's actively disrupt torrent download packets to break them

There are plenty offered in 720p, 1gb per 42min approx, best I've got one is in 8minutes on tpg adsl2+ but I cant get those speeds any more

Cool

I really have nfi what I would do with 500GB on a home connection, even if I primarily did illegal things.

You still have to watch/listen to all that stuff.

There really isn't enough hours in a day.

There is only 720 hours in a month, so besides the actual physical limitation of hard disk drive space, if, whatever you happened to download ran at say 1GB per hour, that is 500 hours worth.

This is insanity!

My mates have got a torrentflux box in europe somewhere, and burn up their 150gb downloading files off it. They can get ~2MB/sec. In that situation, a 500gb plan using a large offpeak might be suitable.

But otherwise, torrents might be useless. Think about it, on TPG ADSL2+, I can upload at most ~200gb/month, with my computer on 24/7. There's no way you're gonna get a decent ratio. At the very least you'd need to pay for a download service (i.e. usenet).

But never the less, its cool to say 'I have 500gb download'.

Is this a joke post?

There will always be people to max out any plan.

But I do agree with some of the comments above, it would be great to have but I doubt people* would max it out every single month.

*people != "most users"

I might max it out a few times year but that would be it at max.

Don't forget with a plan like this it's all about quality of what you acquire. Getting 8-20Gig files of quality isn't unreasonable and won't take long to max out this plan.

You still have to find time to "appreciate" this quality you have downloaded.

Who the hell has that sort of time, except retired people or idiots sons of wealthy industralists who would be too busy getting out on the piss partying everynight?

I've been with TPG for a few months now, and yeah strangely enough I have often described the service as 'sloppy and all teeth'.

It's all relative.

1x700Meg file on 20Gig account = 13Gig better quality file on 500Gig account.

So where the difference? This is the state of play now. High quality stuff is out there.

That's right. Instead of divx, you get HDDVD isos.

Current situation at Soul:

http://www.australianit.news.com.au/...-15306,00.html

Two.Tel:

Not paying employees:

I think they clearly paid too much for TPG and are now in trouble.

"Never talk to Telstra again"! Indeed...
