Question Vista and 2 soundcards?

Anybody here running Vista and 2 soundcards? I'm on a Metal Gear binge at the moment, unfortunately MGS2 doesn't like Vista's sound model unless you have a Creative card (for Alchemy use). I run a HT Omega Claro+ normally, but I do have an Audigy 2 ZS sitting around which I thought about throwing in. Attempting to run with just the Claro results in a black screen and no game as it tries to use DirectSound.

im running two sound cards, but im on XP pro and i dont play metal gear.
i have the audigy2 zs as well.
i had issues with it using the rear mic port and the headphone jack from the internal breakout box thingy.. which is why im using two soundcards.
sound out via the audigy, sound in via the onboard card.

I run an X-Fi Extrememusic, an AV-710 and also onboard audio for the mic input (the only one that will connect to the front panel) on Vista x64 with no worries at all.

Looks like I'll have to give it a crack and see how it fairs.

yep, i have a x-fi champion, plus use the onboard sound.

I use 2 cards, so i can play my game on the x-fi, while my misses can watch a divx movie(onboard sound). Yes both at the same time, that why we like quad cores
