Wondering? Half Life Speed Tweak

I was wondering about that Half Life speed tweak..

The one that they talk about in those benchmarks on their website.. were might I find this tweak.. I have heard of it before but could never find it.. I want to use this with my Half Life game can anyone give me a link or send it to me?

which tweak are you talking about? there are tons of tweaks you can perform within your autoexec.cfg and config.cfg files in your /half-life/valve/ and /half-life/cstrike/ folders. these will let you fiddle here and there with various graphics settings to try and get the best image quality to performance ratio.

or are you referring to the "speed cheat" that people are mentioning? this is a hack that tricks the server by (from what i can gather) sending false information about how fast you are moving which results in you actually moving much faster than others in-game. basically it's just cheating.

if this is what you are reffering to, i won't tell you, or anyone else how to do it, because cheaters should all spontaneously combust.

Yeah zactly I so hate scripters and hackers.

My friend.......cough.....cough.......VoiD........cou gh says that he never uses scripts. On viewing his .cfg: in it.....Jump script and hand change.......hmmm......is this cheating? Also his aim is highly suspect, but only some of the time. And speed cheat.....well.....he made it to the tap in de_rats before I do.....And I was the CT's. Good for him not good for me.

Repeat......I so hate scripters and hackers.

Very sad indeed.
Why people would cheat is beyond me. And using speed cheat is even worse, since it is much easier to notice someone running damn fast, so they will have more of a chance of being booted off the server.
Oh well, hopefully someone takes note of your WonID when you "play" and they get you banned from a bunch of servers.

Ok you guys need help... period.... I got the speed hack and Im not even using it.. I wasnt inteanding to use it on the online game anyway. so get off it.. I dont cheat at online games.. I only cheat at a game after i have beaten it and only at one player mode... so dont worry..

If you need to cheat againsts bots...well...

That speed hack works in allot of games not just CS. Games like Q3 (Which has its own native support for timescaling anyway) which do have bots. Besides the speed hack problem was fixed in one of the last few HL/CS patches.

That speed cheat is totally f*cked
All cheating esp in CS is so so SO LAME

it totally RUINS gaming.. i have stopped playing CS and many other games because ppl are too lame.. so sad.

now i have to sit here and read these forums to fill the void
