I envy you guys that can drive the GT. And I don't ever mean to bag the GT, it's just beyond my skill level . There are a couple of guys here, Craig and Darrin, who own in that GT.

Annoying racing with some lower level guys, they can race more aggressively yet don't get pinged as harshly for mistakes and contacts

I definitly am not a master at it. Still 3-4 seconds off the fast guys and thats currently all I can muster out of it but you also have to trial and error the setup to get the car to your driving style.

Such a grumpy thread lately!

And all I want to do is get up to speed again. I popped in to a fixed GT race yesterday that didn't stand a chance of going official and I'm sooo outta practice it's not funny. I can't judge distances at all. Think I'm going to have to stick to getting back up to speed in the MX5 again.

That said, I'm still only driving at 40km/h in my real car atm so things should only get faster!

Have I mentioned how much I love driving the C6R at Road Atlanta?

It is almost as if the car was built for the track

Okaaay....I just downloaded Magic Mountain Rollercoaster sim...a.k.a. Mid Ohio.

WTF were they thinking? It's a damn rollercoaster ride....off camber corners / blind rises..and thats just the pathway to the toilets!!

No seriously....its quite fun to drive.... Very first time out and I binned it on the first corner. So i decided to get behind one of those horrible cars that starts with F.....Oh OK ill say it Ford..GT. And quite soon I had the hang of it.....so much so that by the end of the 3rd lap I was lapping the fastest out of all the GT's...even some A class drivers couldnt keep up....Shame I cant race there yet as im still on my P plates...oh well...give it time!!

I love the track in any car, but the Vette is particularly pleasing to turn laps there.

We're looking at 100 or so laps over the 2hours, right?

93-95 laps for us in GT1

Going to need over 200L of fuel which means 25s pit stops

Bought the V8 just for the hell of it. Loving it already. Pulling 2:07's around suzuka with only a couple of hours practice. Aliens pulling 2:04 :O

You could work your stops out so that you get a longer one if that was your plan

Start with 90L, run it dry, add 90L (have a toilet stop), run that dry and put 20L odd to get home.

Madison shared his setup. Really loose. Then another person mentioned dropping the watts linkage a couple of ticks. Did the job.

ha RAt even makes the FordGT fun ...something about this track ...is just good for the driving .....not without challenges mind.

I am figuring on 85-88 odd laps ...if I keep it on the island and don't spin (not likely over 2 hours) so probably 80 odd is more realistic with 210ish litres go-juice.

My arms fell off after the 90min DUG race last week ..so this week ..who knows what may fall

Saw you in the V8 server the other night, I'm only just getting into the low 2:08's @ Suzuka. I'm loving the quality of V8 racing over the last few weeks. Really quite impressive, probably some of the best iRacing races I've ever been involved in.

Some V8 fun @ Silverstone
