Nice work! I just had an epic Spa race. Got into 1st briefly after starting from 25th ish, got passed by a SRF, and then I got taken out by a way-too-late braking divebomber who plowed across the front of me in the final chicane. Still a lot of fun!

well ill say this ,its damn hard playing with a game pad , i know its a no no but thought id try the game before forking out on a wheel and pedals, now to decide what to buy /
it will be nice not to have accelerator full on or off same with brake
any advice what to buy appreciated.

well everyone! some people might be in luck soon. im thinking about quitting iracing as im super busy with uni/work and dont get much seat time in it anymore =(

i might do a part out for all my parts!

still thinking about it

if i do decide to sell id have the following for sale (sydney pickup only for the big parts)

obbutto cockpit with the triple monitor stand (have holes drilled for the 911gt3 and clubsport pedals)
911 gt3rs upgraded to v2 and will include SRhardware (sli-pro with buttons) and included cabling done.
Clubsport pedals
SST Lighnight 8speed shifter
possibly my triple dell u2311's

That's some bad luck for you... But if there's a silver lining, I'm in the market for an obutto cockpit & 3 screens.

Don't try and sell off your account lest you decide to come back!

I literally just purchased the Obutto 'Gaming' cockpit, w/triple screen mounts last night! I already have x3 DELL u2311's (haha such a similar setup). But I'm using a G25, which I kinda wish I had a G27 after reading about the FF mesh gears being quieter and smoother than the G25.

I still need to get a good graphics card capable of Eyefinity now as I currently have an Nvidia GeForce GTX460 1gb and don't want to SLI for x3 screen support (as I'd need a new mobo etc.). Currently looking at the Radeon 6950 2gb, any thoughts or suggestions?

To me it seems like Oval racers are a bunch of inconsiderate pricks. None of them have any clue about racing etiquette or clean racing.

If they can't get past you, then ram you. If they are slower than you and you try to pass, they block and eventually go high and wait for you to get along side and ram you.

Oval racing is pretty pointless (IMO) racing around in circles just seems dumb. The racing may be close and the constant (boring as hell) safety car laps keep the fields close but I still find it sleep inducing, even in a close Impala race. I do prefer the fast tracks, the small half mile tracks are a major annoyance.

The Star Mazda round a few months ago at The Milwaukee Mile turned the generally well behaved, polite and clean Mazda racers into a bunch of fucking idiots. Crashing, spinning, abusing each other, blocking, ramming and more blocking...

I only wanted to get my license up so i could do the Thursday trucks. But the general arsehattery stopped that.
