Well that was the least fun race at Spa I've ever had, x4ed by a retard T1 (who then causes a pileup a few corners later). Rear ended again lap 3 by a spinner, have to go off track twice to avoid the erratic behaviour of the cars in front, spun twice at Eau' Rouge but avoided the walls, and just had loads of X1's.. 17 in total.. ouch.

Coopz, I also had a not very fun race last night in the V8's at Suzuka.

2nd lap, still keeping my nose clean in the pack... come out of the hairpin up the inside of a guy who goes very wide and slow, sticking to the far left but he throttles up, loses the rear and plows into me, spining me 180 degrees on the spot. I have severe steering damage and he drives off with nothing wrong. I press on to the pits, 2mins for repairs.. last place and 2 laps down... Why am I always the innocent party but with the most severe damage!!! Grrr.

Fought back to get to 21st of 23 cars.

-2.2 SR this weekend. And 250 iRating. Go me, woo!

I'm a bloody magnet for other cars. Have a nice indicative replay I'll put on youtube of a car spinning of to the right then inexplicably jackknifing left just as I'm going past.

Don't think I'll try and run 5 series in a season again, it's a bit draining on the weekends! I make up in the week what I lose on the weekends.

Thinking Skips and V8s next season (assuming V8s are on NTM).

Two seems to be working well for me while working full time. Just do qualifying during the week and a couple of races each on weekend. I spectated a skippy race you did for the last 4 laps I think, you came 4th or 3rd? Looked like you did a good job. Almost lost it a couple of times! Haha

I too had a couple of pretty successful races in the skip in the weekend. You can't really pass easily at road Atlanta so I just wait and hope people spin (which they usually do). Finished 2nd and 4th I think.

For sure! The Skippy at Road Atlanata short is one of the best combos in iRacing.

Was thinking, maybe we could try and organise some kind of training session in which we could receive instruction/advice from the quicks. Could set up a hosted session with lots of cars and get some guys to spectate and communicate via ventrillo or some external voice server.

Who are our aliens? Care to help?

Want to know the next car signed for iRacing? Follow Steve Myers on twitter.

https://twitter.com/#!/iracingmyers

Need about 150 more followers for the next clue.

So glad it's not Vauxhall.

He just tweeted that it isn't.

Clues so far:

1) Not from USA

2) First 'significant' car was released in 75 but had been around much longer.

Random question: In mixed-class racing, when signing up for a race is there any way to see how many of each car has signed up?

Go into dashboard and hover over the #reg column. It'll show the cars in each class.

I think RUF might just be wishful thinking, it fits the clues but they don't do race cars afaik. Guess there is a first time for everything. SEAT fits the clues too and they have mentioned BTCC recently, the badass tag doesn't really fit, though.

Could be many things. Whatever it is I hope it's not a GT style car. Getting a bit sick of those. Maybe Aston Martin?

Doesn't have to be a "race car" just a performance car really.

iRacing only seem to do race cars, though.

Aston had plenty of significant cars pre-1975 to rule it out.

Not getting my hopes up for anything.

Interesting how they are scanning the RWD version but the standard RUF RT12R is a 4WD but is available as a RWD option.

Given it runs semi-slicks any thoughts on where it will fit speed/laptime-wise? Bit heavier than the Ford GT3 but a fair bit more power/torque.
