I just came from a practice session in the Mx5's.... i swear there should be a duchebag x 10 penalty for dickheads who pull out of the pits on front of a racer starting a hot lap!

Well what do you expect from the rookie series?

Make sure you let them know what they've done wrong, makes it better for all of us!

Yea it happens a lot, however a lot of guys just arent aware of the F3 screen, and need a bit of friendly guidance.

If they are clearly idiots well thats a different story.

No kidding, i had it happen to me countless times today in the Caddie at Lime rock as well as Infinion. So i finally had enough and said "Come on guys, stop being morons and pulling out of the pits onto the racing line in front of people on a hot lap. Use F3, your mirrors and common sense please!"

I got semi-abused for this so i just said fuck it and left the server. The community is definitely going downhill in terms of quality that's for sure.

Doesn't matter it was practise, you can still report them.

Mid Ohio is quite challenging in the CTS-V. Easily gets unstuck on the bumps and rises.

I am really liking this car actually, it's a shame it's a rookie class. That means no iracing credits if you run it next season right? hopefully they put it in a higher mixed class sometime.

Also, I seem to have fixed my load cell issues. Cleaned it all up and wrapped the whole thing in a but of plastic bag to hopefully stop any dirt or cat hair getting in there (it's ugly but seems to work). I also trimmed the rubber down to give more throw and it feels much more realistic and doesn't seem to stuff up. It kind of turns it into a spring/load cell hybrid which works really well for me.

I trimmed off maybe a bit less than half? I didn't do a particularly clean job of it but it seems to work great. I'm getting pretty good at taking the pedals apart, I've got a bodnar cable coming soon as well so I'll have to take it apart yet again. Looking forward to stable calibration with that!

Just had a cracker in the MX5s - a race to brag about! Ended up racing Scott McLaughlin for 20 laps with about 3 moves a lap. 8 lead changes and he just got me on lap 24 of 25.

http://members.iracing.com/membersit...5&custid=61397

At least the other racers were entertained too.

Didn't realise he was a V8 driver until one of the other racers mentioned it afterwards.

It makes such a difference when you're able to trust those you're racing with to keep it fair.
