Woo! My new approach to racing this season seems to be paying off already. #3 in the top driver points for the last 24hrs and #4 in the top oval point scorers ticket. Just got my C class oval too.

Man, the non-Aussie splits in ovals are such a better class of racing... I think in general it's safe to say Aussies are shit-house oval racers. But I'm OK with that. At least we are good on the roads.

Yeah the few oval races I've been in with a server full of Aussies has usually been a disaster, the abuse they were hurling at each other was amusing tho

Just had a SM race at Silverstone, lucky break (in a way) halfway through the race in 3rd I lost the back end, car violently spun off but I just avoided the wall, kept going after losing 1 spot but I never incurred a x2, nice bug there

I can't race ovals. Half the time I can't stir my wife's coffee without spilling it, what chance have I got!?

I was testing the Caddy last night on Motegi/Centri.. skidpan. Damn that car has some major handling/NTM issues. When you bag it up, the thing twitches to the left, and sometimes when you skid to a stop the whole car violently bounces continuously until you give it some throttle or brake. Weird!

Everyone harps on about how the NTM and the Caddy especially are the best thing in sim racing.

Personally i think it's shit. It should never have been released until all the cars we're done and it had proper tyre wear.

Yeah I agree. If I were PR for Caddilac I wouldn't be too happy about having my car represented so poorly! Unless they are trying NOT to sell any cars.

Apart from the possible suspect tyre wear, the Caddy handles well I reckon (note that I drive them IRL...).

I don't mind the Caddy, I think its handling is a bit weird but IMO its a useless car that iRacing didn't need. If it can race with the GT and Vette class it would be ok but on its own its a useless series.

I think it is a great car with a good setup. One of the best. But yes the series is pointless for anyone higher than rookie. They need it in a mix class.

They should add a new B or C class car really.

Another bug with the NTM on the Caddy... I trail braked into a corner and it locked the inner front, after releasing the brake the wheel was still locked up right through the corner where I eventually lost control and had to brake again... after the second instance of braking the wheel started turning again.

Someone else try and then watch the replay.

Sweeping left hander, throttle+brake mid corner then release the brake and see if any wheels locked up.

It seems to lift the inside front which is why it locks up and stays locked. Run the telemetry and see what happens with the suspension at the same time?

My guess is that the second brake application put the tyre back in contact with the road.

It fills the GT spot in Grand Am perfectly but Cadillac stipulated the car must run in it's own series.

And they paid for it to be developed and given to everyone, so... Thanks caddy!

Not that I'm going to race it any time soon.

Just won my first official caddy race yipee!!

Would've been incident free but just tapped the rear of another car so softly
Anyone here have a CSR-elite or t500rs? The caddy has very squishy FFB on my g27 and was wondering how it feels with a better wheel?
