Some office chairs dont sit flat with the removal of the castors but you can get glides to put in their place.

I use a rug too but it's not as cool as that.

I had the same problem when I removed the castors, to overcome this I removed the rollers from the castors then refitted to the chair so that it would sit flat.

Star Mazda race has just opened for rego. Jump in, race in ~25min. Happy to sling a setup to anyone who's after one (it's a bit slippery though so go easy!).

Street Stocks make much more sense to be the rookie oval car, have to try pretty hard to get them out of shape. Somehow, people seem to do it half a dozen times a race however.

What's the upgrade path for the mile+ ovals? Guess I'll end up in the truck races?

I am trying to work out myself what oval series to concentrate on. Previously the trucks were the series I most enjoyed but with the addition of a fixed trucks plus fixed Indy series now I don't know if they have diluted participation. Might give the trucks a go this weekend and see if it still gets the massive numbers.

Had 2 races last night in the Indy oval series both with 20+ car grids which is great for our time zone but damn that car & track combo is so boring . The high line doesn't work and neither does side drafting. Only chance of making a pass is on a re-start or if someone makes a massive mistake.

Ooh here we go:

Looks like there's a new 'first month free' plan started:
http://www.iracing.com/tp/

Good to get in to it but as you can't combine it may be limiting. Might be a good idea to not use your 'real' name when using it in case a better offer comes along within that month.

Yeah and you're meant to but iRacing will change it upon request. They also hide real drivers names if they request it.

By default it takes the name for your credit card when you sign up but you can provide a fake name and change the payment details afterwards.

This is why you see a lot of blokes driving around with their wives' names.

Not sure now, but when iRacing went into beta you had to use a credit card and the game would take your name from that.

Yeah I thought it was policy to use your real name? Doing so takes the anonymity prerequisite out of internet fuckwad theory.

Wish they would address the hit detection. Guy just gives me the tiniest rub in the SM's and in .1 of a sec it goes x0 x0 x0 x4... Didn't even feel it.
If the hit engine cannot work out if major contact occurred it should do nothing. 1 rub like that in A class means its going to be a negative on your SR no matter what happens after.

Maybe it's just the fragility of the SM? seems to have been pretty good for me in the mustang and GT.

Oh and lag. I had some shockers a couple of races back in the skippy due to lag. Said I hit a car and to me I seemed like I was miles off.
