So thanks to Leck, I jumped on yesterday with a guest pass. Took an hour to get playable status on the installer, fired it up.

Played for about half an hour ( all the time I had), and while I am still against needing to be online to solo, I did enjoy the game. I was pleasantly surprised by the graphics, and I don't understand the criticisms of the atmosphere generated by said graphics. Looked fine to me, and completely in the spirit of the previous games.

Gave the Wizard a whirl, thought his damage left a lot to be desired, perhaps at higher levels it might improve. Magic missile is much better than Shock Pulse, and that was a little disappointing considering e 6th level I had no effective AOE attacks. Ray of Frost got a workout, but against some enemies in the cathedral it's a little rough running away like a little girl and then attacking again. Maybe I'll give the Monk a run next time.

One last thing, no issues of lag whatsoever, not an especially fast connection either. My very limited playtime was nothing but positive.

Who isn't? Everyone I COOP with barely explores areas, they just run straight to the objective, can't frigging stand it.

Use Hungering/Puncturing Arrow and Impale/Impact!

Not hard to be on nightmare already really.

I spent my time exploring all of act 1 and all of act 2. act 2 is by far the longest act. 3 and 4 especially are short.

It took me 16 hours to finish normal, probably 18-19 hours if i explored all of act 3&4

I rolled a monk first, but was disappointed to discover it was a melee class in D3, I prefer ranged attacks. So I rolled a Wizard, got it up to level 13, still not happy with the dps, the mobs go for it and she hasn't enough power to kill them before being overwhelmed. The Wizard in D3 is kind of what a sorc is in D2.That's so strange not being big dps, usually sorcs are the one shot kill class in most games. I don't know if gear helps, haven't really got my head around the gear in D3 yet.

great, im getting 3006 error on the americas server.

when i play on the europe server though, i can access the server.

i think its due to that bug with the equipping thing with the companion.

They get better, my wizard has over 3k damage now.
