Default OCAU Film Gallery

Hey guys, with the apparent rise in interest in film in the forums I thought I might start a gallery to showcase shots taken only on film.

Feel free to share your shots taken on film here along with the film type, aperture, shutter speed and camera used

I just had a whole bunch of film processed today so i'll post them up as I go through scanning them.

Taken with a Gaoersi 617, Velvia 50, f16 and few minutes exposure

Nice idea, and great opening photo

Trip 35, no idea on aperture, most likely 1/200 shutter.
Fujifilm superia x-tra 400.

Trip 35, f2.8, 1/200 shutter. 580EXII offboard, triggered by a poverty wizard.
Fujifilm superia x-tra 400.

Pentax 645, (now with plasticbastard), and Provia 100F.

Pentax 645N and Provia 100F.

Did you get the Gaoersi from Ebay ? I've bid on a couple without luck so far.

As much as I'd love to fork out for a Linhof it's just way out of my price range as a hobby landscape shooter. The Gaoersi is the most affordable entry into 617 format.

bazz.

Wow, great stuff guys, keep em coming!

sir_bazz, yeap I got it off eBay a good couple of years back when not many people knew about it yet. IIRC I paid only USD900 for the body and I paired it with a 90mm Schneider Super Angulon - Linhof Edition Linhof bodies are crazy expensive though!

Thanks doigal, looking forward to see more of your panoramics too!

Anyway here's another one I scanned yesterday but didn't post up yet.

Taken somewhere along one of the few hiking tracks in the Royal National Park. As usual, Velvia 50 F16, shutter was prob 30 secs or so. I had to wait for bout 45 mins as there were too many hotspots. It was worth the wait though

Cheers bud! I've just loaded a roll of 120 into the holga 6x12 pinhole to muck around with, love to get my hands on a 6x17/6x24 glass lens camera but just too much cash to part with for the time being! love to get more details on your setup though and see more of what your little beast can do!

Sweet! I've got 10 more rolls of Velvia 50 MF coming from B&H along with some other goodies too

You can probably get started with the 617 for about AUD1500 to AUD1700-ish I think. Gaoersi 617 body and a second hand 90mm MF lens should fit in quite nicely in that budget. It'll get more expensive though when you start investing in a light meter, filters, etc

Fire away any questions you have! Btw, i've still got heaps of slides I haven't scanned yet so stay tuned

Thats about what i thought. Might have to stick with the $50 6x12 pinhole and see what that turns up with that and the horizon for the time being!

Scan them in and post them up, always happy to see them!

Thanks buddy

This was taken somewhere along the Wisemans Ferry run. Took the car out for the weekend for a nice cruise. Some of you may have noticed a digital version posted before.

As usual, all of my panos are taken with Velvia 50, mostly F16 and this was a 3 min exposure.

Taken somewhere along Bondi beach. Pretty much similar settings but with a .9 Hard GND Lee filter. Should've stacked the .6 that I had too but I didn't have enough time to calculate the shutter settings

Hey De_Cruelz

Great shots!! With the wisemans ferry shot, do the clouds have to be moving quite rapidly to get that effect you have going in the clouds?
