Hey all

Im trying to get 2 instances running, since im using dual gfx cards.

However, my 2nd instance of the program sits at F@h working (0/0)

or it is now doing F@h: Results seccessfully sent

whereas my 1st instance is F@h: Working (2750/25000)

ARGH, what have i done wrong, i've changed all the shortcuts, ive renamed folders, ive changed gpu variables within the programs themselves.

Take the SLi bridges off, and disable SLi in your motherboard's BIOS.

Double check your affinity settings in your task manager. Also, ensure you're running at least the beta8 version otherwise CPU gets over tied. Only run one SMP version too.

In the task manager, set the Affinity to CPU 0, CPU 1, and CPU 2. Then manually set the affinity on both the GPU cores to CPU 3 (if you have the 11th beta, it works without a hitch!

Need help guys :-)

I'm trying to get my third 8800GT working. I'm using Windows XP and when I install the card into the third PCI-E slot and start windows up. it detects it fine. but I can't attach to it in the desktop settings?

Is there anything i need to do. I'm sure I'm missing something.

I've tried swapping the cards around to make sure I don't have a dud card it works as the 'second' card if i remove it.

Any ideas?

Finally got 2 8800GT working in one machine under vista. however I'm only seeing low points
GPU 1 - 2528ppd
GPU 2 - 2528ppd
Same points Across both.. In another machine with the same brand of card i'm seeing 5709 points.

I've got 2 monitors setup one for each video card in the vista machine and running with these parameters

GPU 1
machineid = 3
extra_parms=-gpu 0

GPU 2
machineid = 4
extra_parms=-gpu 1

Can someone give me some pointers please.

I would love to help you but i will never catch you if i do .....

Edit: Okay i'll take one for the team,
1. Are you running rivatuner and have you overclocked the GPU's?
2. Are you running anything on the CPU, SMP, single client?
3. Have to turned the option in the config to slightly higher for cpu usage on the advanced tab?

With 3 GPU's in my rig, a single SMP kills my GPU production

Well those settings look right to me GGG-2.

Can you confirm you are running core 1.07?

Hi Guys,

I'm not running any SMP clients any more

and the version I'm using is this

[08:17:51] Folding@Home GPU Core - Beta
[08:17:51] Version 1.06 (Mon Jun 23 10:53:13 PDT 2008)

so looks like the core version is out of date. will locate the correct verson and try again.

Also I've noticed that it's quite unstable I've had my main machine lock up twice today yet before running this client it was running the smp client for month + 24 hour a day

Just use the new beta client. I think that uses it. If not, I'll PM you the link to it uploaded.
