So Sega has seen fit to revive this old chesnut - wonder if it'll live up to the legacy?

Doesn't look to have the same charm as the original, personally I would have loved to see it follow the same trend as the original game (ie side scrolling, but with updated visuals, etc).

original was good due to the fact the genre was still reasonably new, co-op multi-play and the cool music

if it doesnt have the little green and blue gnomes when u kick them u get items im going to burn down sega dressed as mario

Wow can't wait... certainly going to buy this one... I've been playing the original quite a bit recently... you just can't go wrong with it.. such a classic. I am a bit disappointed though that this doesn't have the green dwarf or the blue barbarian. Perhaps they are planned for an expansion pack if all things go well.

if the game is anything like that trailer, it will be shit!
I'm so sick of the cliche's... "driven by revenge", the figure of the female character (tits, ass, revealing costume), and also just her posture, the hyper masculinity of everything else that isn't a "chick".

So that's just the trailer, I know, but it just hints to me that Sega are being gutless.
They are reviving a brand (in marketing terms) they think they can cash in on, and I bet they just doing everything else by formula, target their demographic, and not give us anything too original or admirable.

meh, maybe it's late and I'm cranky, but pffffffttttt

i remember playin golden axe on the dreamcast or was it saturn.

was like a street fighter game (1 vs 1)...wasnt half bad

sega failed to re-kindle the sonic magic in sonic the hedgehog (ps3, 360)

sega failed to re-kindle the NiGHTS magic in nights - journey of dreams (wii)

sega failed to re-kindle the sega rally magic in sega rally revo (360, ps3)

ergo, i dont have high hopes for sega to re-kindle the golden axe magic in golden axe - beast rider (360, ps3).
