Got to Queen Street Mall store in Brisbane at 3am, was 10th pre register. My first iPhone bricked during activation so they gave me a new one.....only problem is that i just got home and realised that my replacement is a 8GB!!!!!!!! and ofcourse i cant get through to the store as the phone is constantly engaged!!

I just grabbed an 8gb iphone then. They seem pretty cool. The people at the store however were going crazy over the damn thing lol.

hmm no matter what i try i cant connect to my home wireless network.

Wifi is still faster than 3G, so I guess my 1st gen isnt that far behind is it

yeah i got insurance i always do

no mac filtering or anyhtign
i am reinstallign the iphone now

takes friggen 2 hours , its now halfway

I've done all the paperwork and stuff for a black 16gb on Optus.

Should get it next week apparently.

Iam now offically onto my 3rd iPhone 3G today Because of me 2 people in Brisbane missed out.

Did exactly the same procedure as on my iPod Touch (Search for the network and then stick in the password). The Touch connects no issues but the iPhone cant.

note to iphone users - dont be dismayed with battery life off the first few charges. it gets a lot better after a few charge / discharges

Conventional phone keyboards (aka...numbers) do have a certain advantage though...being able to write without looking at the screen =\

Tactile response isn't neccessary for that, I find after using the device for a while you just pick up where the keys are in relation to how you're holding the device.
