Default My antec 900 black and red 'mod'

Hey all, first time poster on OCAU, but been on whirlpool for ages and keep hearing OCAU pop up, so decided to check it out.

I painted the inside of my Antec 900 recently to get rid of the ugly metal colour.
Plus replaced the blue 120mm fans that came stock with the case when i got my system in late january.

specs:
E8400 @3.8ghz
P35-DS3P
9800GTX Gigabyte
8600GT Albatron (took it out cause it was too loud)
250gb and 500gb W.D HDD's
ASUS DVD burner
X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion
Zalman 120mm RED LED fans.
Zalman fatal1ty FS-C77 CPU cooler.

pics: http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg296/jorgen17/PC/
i need to do a few paint touch ups cause i keep scratching the paint off with my fingernails when playing with cables/canging hardware.

just used black enamel paint from autobarn.

Correct preparation of the surface and use of etch primer prevents this. There are several painting how-tos here on OCAU you can look up alternatively this is one i usually post for people asking http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTU5LDI= Takes time and the more time (preparation) your willing to put into it the better it will look in the end not to mention be alot more durable than what yours is...

Welcome to OCAU to...

yeh i noticed that yesterday when i looked in and saw the black PSU, black x-fi card and black 9800GTX, lol.
also thinking of investing in decent ram, (just got the cheap Kingston 800Mhz value sticks) so i can break the 4ghz barrier easily without playing with ram timings and voltages. (dont know how to OC that well)

i was thinking of properly priming it and doing all that, but it was a one day project i wanted to do when i had a day off. plus i'm not really the one that replaces hard ware or plays with it when its in there.

well from a distance its all shinny, unless you open the case and really look, you wont notice that much, most people dont examine the paint job really closely. but im just happy with the red and black finish, only thing i wanna change is the blue light on the top, might try change to red one day and put some red LED in the 200mm fan as well :P

i'll try find a red sharpie somewhere and colour them, lol.
its really weird, cause i painted the IDE and SATA cables as well, and the other day when i put my hand in while doing something, i got black paint on my fingers, for some reason the cables wont dry properly or soemthing, but i never really touch them anway.
gonna be funny if my pc screws up so much i have to take it to a pc shop and they end up with black paint all over their hands, lol.
