Lots of sub $600 laptops with 15.4inch screens available from most retails stores.

Double the performance specs of the equivalent Eepc, but double the size. The 10inch EEPC is ok if you have to buy new, however if you want a lot of storage space and a rom drive then get something else.

Base model Dells or Acers will do the job.

I just bought an Acer Aspire 5315 for 649 with 149 cash back that's 500!

Specs are 2.13 Celeron, 1GB ram, 80GB HDD, 15'4 screen, dvd burner, wifi, Vista home, one year warranty. Battery lasts just 2hrs with screen brightness at 40%.

The only issue i've had in 5days of ownership is explorer randomly crashes and restarts, i'm going to remove Acer's bloatware an see if that fix's the issue.
