Was this the one that Engadget was claiming showed fake benchmark scores?

Looks pretty tiny though!

they had an article yesterday about how the athlon 64 is faster and more power efficient than the atom...might not be a hoax after all.

Before commenting, it would be good to know battery performance too - you could in theory put a core 2 duo in a UPMC, and outperform everyone else, but then only have 20 minutes battery life

waste in such a small form factor...thought the 7" eeepc showed there is a limit to how small something is before it becomes a novelty and use becomes unproductive

Different markets, not everyone need large keyboard/screen for long term usage. If they get the battery life up to a reasonable state, add a 64G ssd and this will be perfect for me.

Personally I consider the LG X100/P100 to be a UMPC, so that'd easily beat this as the first dual-core UMPC.

This one does look pretty decent, although the battery life could be better (if the manufacturer says it can last up to 3 hours, it's safe to say that in general it'll last substantially less).

Of course, price is the key factor. If it costs as much as an EeePC or Aspire One, it'll be popular for all those who value performance over battery life. If it's more expensive then it'll be somewhat difficult to justify.

It's somewhat disappointing that they stuck with the old chipset. A nice 780G system (with DX10 and hardware video acceleration) would have been nice, since it would have avoided pushing the CPU back up to full speed when watching videos.
