Default Dell Inspiron 1525 $699

Hey guys!
Just looking to buy my missus a laptop for work. Just the basic applications like office, email and web surfing.
Saw the Dell Inspiron 1525 on Kerry-Anne Kernerly this morning (dont ask me why I was watching) $699 delivered for

-Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0 GHz/ 667MHz FSB/ 2MB Cache)
-2GB (2x1GB) Dual-channel 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
-160GB*(5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive
-15.4" Widescreen WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display
-8X max DVD+/-RW Drive with DVD+R double layer write capability
-Dell™ Wireless 1395 802.11g 54Mbps Wireless Mini Card
-Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic.

For a basic 'non gaming' laptop it seems like a pretty good deal, especially as it comes in a variety of colours My wife asked me for a red one!

Any comments on the systems? suggestions?

There's a couple of upgrades but I'm not sure if its worth it for an email/word/net surfing laptop.

-Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.0GHz, 2MB Cache, 800 MHz FSB) [add $88.00]
-Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.1 GHz, 3MB Cache, 800 MHz FSB) [add $155.10]
-Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800 FSB/ 3MB Cache) [add $233.20]

They're a good laptop, and a bargain for that price with 1 year warranty, go for it
I wouldnt bother upgrading.

ps. Its the same price if you configure it from the Dell site as per normal so the "special Kerry Anne price" is bs

I wouldn't bother upgrading either.

Not bad for $699!

They're still good for $800.
I was very impressed with mine, for the price.
