Hi all
I just downgraded a VIAO from vista home to xp pro for someone so he could join to a domain and bla bla bla Anywho now I have the problem that Network Controller isn't working. Now I am guessing that I would have to install the Motherboard drivers to fix this problem. Is that right? Problem is that I can't find this stuff for this particular VAIO. It says that it is PCG-5k1l and the product code is 28278333 But on the front there is a sticker that says that it is a CR series But I can't find that on www.vaio-link.com or those kind of sites. Does anyone have the solution to this problem If you do it would be greatly appreciated |

You might have to google like crazy to try and find some non-sony-website drivers that will work (possible but unlikely), OR you could get rid of XP and install a version of Vista that lets you join a domain. (Vista Business? I am not too sure which ones do this).
Hang on: Vista version comparison So you might be able to upgrade the Vista Home to Vista Business fairly cheaply. |

Do you have access to the Vista drivers? If so, you may be able to determine the network adapter from that and then search accordingly. |
