Default 4850 overheating

housemate n i went n got a 4850 yesterday and it's overheating like crazy getting graphical glitches and crashes quite often, any sugestions on how to cool it?

it's in a well ventelated case tt armor 230mm fan on the side, and we installed that ati experttool to increase fan speed but still get glitches and crashes
