It looks pretty big; that's supposed to be a 10.2" screen, and there's a lot of plastic around the edges (at least an inch, maybe more).

The linked article says the resolution is 1024x768. Isn't that a bit weird? It's not a widescreen res but the laptop certainly looks to have a widescreen ratio.

Yes, it definitely looks like a widescreen LCD. It's probably just a mistake; both 1024x600 and 1280x768 are pretty common.

It's a 1024×600 screen, which is very disappointing, I thought maybe for the high end version Asus would have pump up the res.
