Default AM2 4850E Vs X2 5200+

Ive decided to put a HTPC together.

After reading up a fair amount, Ive got a reasonable list of gear to go buy, the important parts of which are the GA-MA78GM-S2H (no competition it seems) and the CPU of which I was fairly set on the 4850E (45w nice!).

However, the availability of these power saving wonders is a little thin over in WA, and buying one online is going to set me back around $115+shipping.

OR I could just grab a X2 5200+ locally for $75.

I'm just curious if its really worth the extra ~$50 for the 45W chip, over the 65W chip?

Cheers

Yeah I'd like to know how they stack up too, but I've considered the 5600+ which also comes in a 65w version. Plus the 5050e has now been announced, plus some other chips. I'm looking to upgrade my budget spec LE-1200 that's currently in use.

Btw the availability of the 4850s is sounding like it's a little thin all over. Even if you order from across the country, make sure you actually confirm they have it in stock or can get it easily - some places quote "1-3 days" but that's not actually the case.

Also, I use an Asrock ALiveNF7G-FullHD R1.0 (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...-FullHD%20R1.0) m/b, does the trick.
