Atm no fans....Im looking for one 120mm fan to get for it. Not sure what but, Was thinking a Antec Tri Cool blue led one.

Load temps are fair sweet in this weather but. When it was a tad hotter. in the 30's the load would get to about 62!
But in todays current it peaks out about 50-55. These load tests are while running prime, but while playing GTA IV ive never seen it get hotter then 45.

And my Q6600 is O/C at 3ghz to. Its running better then the stock cooler but for the real performance to shine i need a good fan any reccomendations?

Antec Tri-Cools are really built as case fans, not Heatsink fans.

The Noctua NF-P12 is a popular choice due to there near silent operation-

But if you don't give a rat"s about noise then you could pick up something like this-

The later ones aren't available on PCCG right now but I'm pretty sure I've seen them elsewhere.

Hmmm. I have a pci bracket 3pin voltage controller so i can change the rpm pretty easily

Its 12v to 5/7v i think.

Recken that would give me the best of both worlds?

The Kaze 3000rpm is notoriously superb when attached to a speed controller, so yes, best of both worlds

For maximum awesomeness you could use two of them in a push-pull config

he he yea. Though im not sure if i spread it good....Im always confused on how to apply it. If i should smear it over with something? Or just apply it in a "X" shape and place the cooler on the cpu?

Stupid thermal paste.

I have a few server fans if you *really* dont care about noise. You pretty much wont want to be in the same room... but it does push a stupid amount of air...

Anyone tried these things? Looks a bit on the puny side without a fan, appears to me that they expect the psu fan to draw air through it.

I'm looking to cool an e6850 in a 4U case.

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=7892

If there's any other low profile/low noise ideas, let me know (I've been looking around, but, anyway).

Willy.

What model cooler is it?

My favourite CPU cooler -
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...oducts_id=7226

Huge - performs reasonable, cant hear it even with your ear next to the fan - just be careful
