Default [Rephrased]Best Headset... need others opinions. $140 inc post?

Hi. so i want to get a new headset as these logitech's that im wearing are still working but have horrible quality and the cords are getting frayed and its glued together in places etc.

anyway, i will have around $140 (total inc postage) to spend on a headset. I want to try *best headset for under 140*, i have a pretty crap sound card (Supreme FX II - came with mobo)
I was looking at the razer barracuda headset as it had got around 7/10 in reviews and was within my budget and is built by some company called turtle or something that is apparently ok at making headsets.

I'm not an audio pro, and i dont have the cash to get that 200 - 300$ headset that would be perfect. i saw another post about 5.1 headsets at $50 but i have alittle bit more than that and times changed and something new may have came out so i wanted a first hand opinion from this date on.

So i was just wondering if there were any other good sound options for my price limit.

thanks in advance.

5.1 headphones are a gimmick, they have developed the stereo headphones to do the same thing for years. This is why you still hear where things are in games with headphones better than 5.1 speaker systems :\

Cool

The best headset around that price mark is the BeyerDynamic DT234Pro's

Everything else that you can spend $140 on, typically only delivers $70 worth of value.

Therein lies the problem.

I'd spend the extra $30 or wait till I could get it, every other HEADSET option at around that price point is just painful.

Yeah, i was gonna get them from headphonic because of the free postage but im not too interested in the Mic even though i frequently use one, im just after good sound quality as cheap as i can get it because of my budget atm. Im getting 231 i think its called.
