As great as Brisbane is, it gets farkin hot in summer. And I like leaving my PC on 24/7 even while i'm at work etc.
Currently my aircooled rig idles at about 70C for each of the GPUs and 40C-48C for the CPU. This is what I want out of my first WC setup:
The kits i've seen only seem to have a block for the cpu (or +1 gpu) and no psychedelic colours. Can anyone recommend a one-stop solution for a first timer or would I have to design the entire setup? |

yes and no.
http://www.flabbergast.com.au/flabbe...te-bundle.html. 20% discount on any GPU block you add (i think they will do 2) just add fans and coolant so thats a 1 stop shop, but not exactly a single kit |

That rad may not handle that many blocks. What case do you have?

Embercide,
Welcome to the world of H20! As you have noticed, there isnt a off the shelf kit that will do all that as alot of consumers have such a varied PC config that its hard to build a "Kit" that suites everyone. In your case, a Custom Kit is going to be the way to go, or adding to a "pre made" kit will both be fine. The Ultimate Kit will handle a CPU and GPU no worries at all (I have that kit, but with a different pump) running a OC'd E8500 + NVidia 280GTX but I think for you, with 2x 8800GTS (G80 or G92 core) and a warm AMD CPU you are going to need a bit more rad space IMO. Lets start with what Case you have? Feel free to drop me a email also if you want to help sort you out. - Robbie. |

Hey thanks for the quick replies!
My Case is the Gigabyte 3D aurora 570 http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c...2021_279048814 I'm lucky I asked the question here first, before I raced out and bought whatever kit my local shop had! |

Very lucky indeed!
That case will fit a RS240 Rad on the back fans without any problems, and you can mod a RS240mm Rad into the roof infront of the PSU all internally also. I have one of these cases that I put on H20 (just with a rs240 on the back) and that did a C2D E6600 + ATI3870 on it, temps were good but for your setup you will need more rads ![]() If you wanted to use that case, throw in 2x RS240mm Rads, Pump + Res + CPU block and your done |

IMO I would say that 2x 240mm Rads will be enough, so long as you dont go too far past the silly side of your CPU Volts. |

If you go for the 95W Phenom 9750 then a triple radiator system will be okay.

95W? Damn cause I was looking at this one..
http://www.pcgogo.com.au/index.php?a...productId=7891 Should I be looking at $500+ for a suitable WC rig? I just did a rough pricing at flabbergast.com.au, I assumed i'd be spending $300-$400. |

95W version on staticICE is selling for 214.95 or thereabouts. B3 version so good clocking with lower start up wattage. Should be a good system with the cards you have.

Sorry if i'm hijacking, but i have something very similar to the OP's system, planning on getting another 8800gts SLI as I already have one 8800gts.. You were suggesting 2x 240mm rads, so how would you do that?? res > pump > cpu > rad > gpus > rad > res ? kinda new at this and i'm planning on wcing end of the year

personally, i would use 2 loops.
but i have all the gear here for that. in a single loop, the impact of rad placement is not huge. i like cpu>rad>gpus>rad like you suggested. pretty much whatever is easiest to plumb in your case, just keep the res before the pump and all is good |
