Default microsoft habu - keeps turning off and needs replugging

i just got a microsoft habu. every now and again (~15min) it would turn off, and i have to unplug and replug it in again before it works.

i have tried updating the firmware, installing drivers etc and they all dont help.

does anyone know? i have heard the ms habu has many issues...

They are a re-badged razer mouse which have always done that, probably always will. A firmware upgrade may reduce the frequency. I have the copperhead so check before downloading.

I daresay you could have a cable fray, its the most common problem with these habu, Ive had mine for well over a year and a half and never had an issue with it, but know others who's cable had fuckedup on them.

Sounds like its time for you to get another mouse mate.

think whatever it came with, when I got it I hit update and as far as I can remember it didn't and I haven't touched it since.

Had it for close to 3 years now.

yeah, I think the newest firmware and drivers for it are actually really really old anyway, when i got mine I updated to the latest, and I looked for newer firmware and drivers 6 months ago and nothing new ever came out for it.

So, I'm on the latest and I think power would be too, its fine, I think its the OPs unit thats fucked, and my guess is its the usb cable since thats the most common failure for the habu.
