I know, only a few people have a rig like mine, and even fewer will have a tri sli/crossfire system. That was my point.

Anyway on another note, the aussie dollar will be falling again very shortly. I think $0.55 exchange rate will be very likely within the next month(interest rate cut, plus lower comondity prices), so you will see a $500 cpu trading for $550

So get in quick, and don't put off any longer.

Your getting greedy now "G" but we will be waiting for you to compare the two mobos when you get an nf200.

True, but if you look at something like the higher end Gigabyte boards, you would be able to run Tri SLI and there's still PCIE slots left over for a sound card This means you could use Tri SLI in a gaming rig.

Thats the main reason i didn't go Tri SLI on my 780i (I originally wanted a sound card and RAID controller as well)

So i'm half tempted to go X58 and grab another GTX 260

It should.

I read today that as soon as the middle PCIE 16x slot is used it turns in to 8 lanes.

So your current Tri SLI is actually operating with 1 card at 16x, and the other 2 at 8x

My 2 GTX260 cards are running at X16 each according to CPUz and GPUz. Try just 2 cards and see if you get 2 x 16 lanes.

Yeah thats what i said. Using SLI in both the bottom and top slots = 16X

But as soon as you use the middle slot for Tri SLI both that one and the bottom one become 8X

As far as I know, the boards will only support 2 x16 slots, two get 3 x16 slots you need the nforce chip
