Default which pcmcia wireless card?

i have a dell inspiron 6400 and i want to put in a wireless pcmcia wireless card can anyone tell me what type they are.
i have a brand new netgear rangemax 240 it fits in the slot but wont plug in it looks like the plug is smaller in my laptop if that makes sense.

Sounds like the dell inspiron 6400 has an express card slot, not a PCMCIA slot.

it's not a wireless card but that is what i meant with the front.
