Default my cpu speed

help me plz some body i have an amd processor which is 1800 266mhz and its running at 1150 what should i do i need to know whats the speed it should be running at and how do i change it so it does

The 1800+ only runs at 1533MHz (133x11.5) - See AMD marketing on 'quantispeed rating' for more info.

At the moment, you have, either by a jumper setting or a BIOS setting, got the board set to run on a 100/200MHz bus, so the chip is running at 1150MHz (100x11.5). Have a read of your manual on how to change it to 133/266MHz.

yeah what is ur mobo? just lok in the manual and it will say where abouts a jumper is on the mobo to change the Front Side Bus to 133 instead of 100. cheers

same thing happened to me when I got my XP1800+ cpu! I changed it from 100/100 to 133/133 in my bios then she ran SHWEET!
