Default The cheapest 8.9" netbook?

Hey guys I'm looking at getting a netbook for chrissie.
These are the requirements.
-Under $500, the less the better.
-Must have an upgradeable 2.5" HDD
-The smallest/cheapest HDD available as it will be taken out straight away.
-The least amount of RAM possisble as it will be upgraded with store bought stuff.
-8.9" Screen
-Preferably a 6 cell battery
-Linux

I think that is about it.
So basically I want the cheapest one and then I will upgrade it with more RAM and a nice 250-320GB HDD.

Thanks
-Deliverancexx

Acer Aspire One? The linux one comes with 512MB which can be upgraded to 1.5GB
However battery life isn't upto EeePC standard, but they're nice and cheap!

if you're intered in the aspire one then check out www.cotd.com.au because they're $370 or something. And then you get the Acer cash back on top of that.

MSI Wind is a winner for you, you can get a 10inch one aswell that has a 2.5" HDD:

It fits all ya needs except for Linux which is piss easy to install yourself.
