Saturday afternoon, 3pm. Start to think about photography. Clouds are rickrolling in, so I can't really go outside with the camera. I turned to OCAU, and remembered this thread about a ghetto light box.
Half an hour, a pocket knife, a box, a few sheets of paper and some baking paper later... ![]() And some of the results: ![]() ![]() Stuff I learned: * A3 paper would be much much better to make a decent background with - as you see in the first picture there's some A4 in use there, 3 sheets in actual fact - but the edges are not very bend friendly. I ended up using another two sheets in 'portrait' mode, and just shifted the edge accordingly depending on the subject. * The box is actually rather small. After the shuffle and the camera I found very little else that was a good size to take photos of. A larger box would be better. * Those lamps make the box and in turn the subject very very hot. Initially i was contemplating a bit of a fun shot with some neapolitan ice cream, but now I don't think it would last very long! ![]() * The printed text at the top of the box is rather ironic considering its eventual use.
