Default Laptop for DVD/DIVX

Hey guys I'm after a lappy for my father so he can watch DVD's and DIVX whilst at work. Easy for some I know. He is a man of quality so nothing too cheap and flimsy.

The only request he has is a larger screen (15 or bigger) and something which has ok speakers but I may be able to give him some headphones.

I know I can get something under $1000 but I was looking at the Dell Vostro 1510 for $799

Does anyone have any better recommendations?

cheers

orangeit (www.orangeit.com.au) is selling lenovo thinkpad R61e for $499 (celery 2.0 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HD). should be more than enough to watch HD DVD/Divx.
