Please delete: HP DV5 Sound problems

Hey

Strange problems happening with my 2 day old HP DV5 1134TX - after I got it, first thing I did was install HL2, worked perfectly, all good.

Day 2, I install WC3 (well, just copy it over, not even install, can't find my install cds), boot it, get no sound. Thought it was a bit weird, but didn't put to much stock in it, and figured it was just because I copied it over (even though I've done that a few times before), but when I booted up HL2 again, no sound.

Any ideas on what might be causing the issue, and anything I could do to fix it up?

Edit: It is playing music from youtube through IE Explorer, but no msn messenger irritating beeping noises.
