Default HTPC laptop w/ HDMI - any good ones come to mind?

It is time to replace my dad's aging desktop. As he is not that tech savvy, what I would like to do is have a laptop dock where the computer desk is and one at his HDTV, so he can move the laptop and just dock it when he wants to watch high def MKV's and the like. Ideally it would also have a bluray drive and therefore double as a portable bluray player.

Specs not that important, just needs to be fast enough to do 1080P. The ability to output both digital audio and video through hdmi would be a plus for convenience.

Anything like this come to mind for you laptop enthusiasts? I haven't looked at laptops for a looong time so am completely out of touch with whether this is achievable or not.

Budget wise is flexible though the lowest cost for the uses above would be ideal.

TIA

You can get XPS 1730 it does DVI but also comes with DVI-to-HDMI adapter, not sure about Audio over HDMI but you can get Bluray with it.

Lenovo is another one, pretty sure you can Audio over HDMI but not sure if it comes with bluray.

Best will be to get a laptop and a PS3

The HP DV5 has a dedicated HDMI port, you can get a 2.4ghz version with 4gb of ram and a 9600gt for less than 1500 if you bargain enough, or the DV7, a little more powerful, 17" screen and HDMI again. Not entirely sure if the DV5 can push it up to 1080p, haven't tried myself, but outputting on a 40" screen through hdmi still looked damn good.
