Will there be special moves or are these being taken out also? I didn't think they added too much to the game.

My preference is really to keep as many aspects Pre: UO:R as possible :P

UO: Haven also does sound fairly good.

As far as special moves go there will be nothing moret han the standard effects from each weapon class.

swords; concussion blow
fencing; paralyze blow
macing; crushing blow
wrestling; stun (disarm included if arms lore >80.00)

As for haven there is talk of actually having a custom starting place which will be scripted to best inform new players about the server and its mechanics/rules. It will also be a bit more fun than haven

The 3D Client is no longer supported, some private servers disconnect you for using it, and if you update your client, the update kills the ability to launch the 3D version.

If you are also talking about the new UO client that has completely new, up to date grahpics etc etc. then that doesnt work on private servers period.

In this place you should have moongates that teleport them to wyvren island, teaching them to invis or hide before going through gates that ppl open for them .

Anyway, Im all for helping out new players so i was wondering if:

1. If like OCX there will be a in game meassage system where you type say .msg and a list off ppl currently online will come up to select from and send a message to. (Thought it would good so ppl with UO questions can ask other players instead of GM's)

2. If you have some guides writen up to post on the forum, cos im working on a Skill Template and Skill training (just needs to be tested) guide and just what to no if im wasting my time .

.msg would be handy, but IMO asking for help is much better achieved in IRC.

I assume by lack of reply to my PM you're not interested in any free hostage?

By the sounds of it yes it is going to be like old school UO. Hopefully it won't be too dissimilar from Pre: UO:R (the best PvP MMO ever to exist).

Great! Great! Great!

Im in orions guild & can speak for another 2 of my friends.. We are very interested aslong as its as close to pre AOS as possible.. minus power hour is fine, just make the gains in all skills reasonably quick.. not over the top though.. Us old UO players have spent enough time grinding the way through the skill gains in the past.. Give us the action in a reasonable time frame

All for

-precast
-insta hit
-faction (id stick to 3.. if one gets too big the other 2 will gang up.. 4 doesnt allow this)
-Bola in for sure!! Needed if your a stealth character otherwise your killing that style.. the other fix is.. Give everyone Ethys as a mount.. always did hate mount killing
-Reds allowed in G zones but freely attackable by others
-simple items.. Gm made & not high amounts of uber other items.. full loot with GM items was my best experience in UO
-700 skill cap, 225 stat cap. no spec moves except the random ones ya mentioned earlier.. love the random poisons, not pre determined ones on OSI now..

I would like to see Ethy mounts in as ive had them for so many years on OSI & im still playing there now.. Give me pre AOS & ill be more then happy..

Will fishing feature ancient SOSs? Not all people enjoy PvP and I found fishing to be extremely relaxing (and profitable) while surfing the web.

It has been discussed that treasure hunting (including fishing) will give greater tasks that output greater rewards to the player. Personally I think that having Ancient SOS's would be a great idea for the PvM community, the only issue is what items would be included and how much of whatever.

A balanced economy is one of the higher priority's, henceforth we are trying to balance all crafting, gathering and hunting (including treasure related) skill so that none are better or worse than each other.
