White anemones are not natural, it's not happy or healthy.

Buzz im in the process of building one too using the AquaOne 380

going to use Purigen and as much high quality noodles as possible

Love how you got an anemome in there didnt think you'd be able too i was going to opt for a tiny portion of coral suitable for a small environment

Dont some anemones throw their zooxanthellae when they are caught due to stress? As long as it didnt completely get rid of it they may grow back (More quickly now you have some decent lighting)

Hmm that's interesting, it was this colour when I bought it. Seems to be doing very well. Attatched well, & constantly open. He opens up to full stretch when the lights are out trying to get closer to the light in the living room.

I've been feeding it small shrimps which it gobbles up pretty quickly, every 3-4 days.

Hopefully it will regain some of it's natural colour over time.

Cool, looking forward to watching your progress

I probably shouldn't have added the Anemone, but I couldn't resist . I'm building a fairly large external cannister filter, so filtration shouldn't be a problem.

Upgrade time! Couldn't resist this as new 90L which I got for a bargain! 1500LPH Canister below, trickle filter above. Had to actually drill some holes for the trickle above. Need to add more filter media & fix up the pump so it spreads the water even.

Picked up some liverock today. Kind of just dumped it in so I haven't done any landscaping yet.

hey c-buzz i have been following this thread for quite some time and i'm still thinking about getting a small tank, although i have a couple questions about the 23l tank

1. is the filter and the light run off the same power cord? and if so how did you get the light to turn on and off and night (or did you just do it manually?)

2. how loud is the stock filter? would it be annoying to keep in a bedroom at night?

SaW.

1) The light is totally separate. I flip the switch & pull it out of the wall at night.
2) Pretty much silent.

3) Update on my tank time! Did a little landscaping, got a fair bit more to do as I'm really not happy with it.

Anemone has pretty much doubled in size since I added him. He eats prawn pieces like they're going out of fashion lol.
