Which of these cards supports S/PDIF IN and S/PDIF OUT?
I'm urgently looking for a sound card for gaming... and DTS 5.1 movies. |

Exactly what im looking for except i listen to a shitload of music. Im going the Essense STX because im sure that the Essense STX still beats my Onboard in gaming audio plus i want to hear Dolby music/movies sound 1337 through my amp. Would you guys suggest i buy that card or another one?

I have a quick question with regards to optical / s/pdif if I use this which I will be, does the quality reflect that of my amp or the sound card? Last edited by Warpy; 22nd May 2009 at 9:33 AM. |

I'd say it would be up to the amp.

But then again, you could just save the $ from a deluxe model (if you don't need all the other features like a zillion SATA ports or tri-sli) and get a proper seperate sound card. |
