Default Xbox360 Games Discussion Thread - Mk II

Original thread here.

Thought it was time for a new one, as the old thread has reached 5,000 posts, and we can consolidate into something a touch more up to date.

Go!

Killzone 2 > Halo Wars

Download the demo off xbox live to see how it is, but if you like FPS games its hard to go past Killzone 2 on the PS3.

I downloaded the demo off xbox live and played a bit of the game in JB-HIFI, while its a simple game, i, myself, would rather Killzone 2.

Halo Wars is a very simple RTS, its been dumbed down to the max.

Still pretty good though, worth the $79 its selling for atm.

Bought Halo Wars (as my mate had bought Killzone 2 the same day, and I was near a JB). Still haven't fired it up yet, too much SF IV and GTA IV Lost & Damned.

I am not so sure about demos. I dl the demo of KZ 2 and played it, I got sore eyes from just playing the first mission part in the demo. Yet I did not get sore eyes from full game, I found the camera angle to be better in the full game as well. It appeared that in the demo the cameras were panning more to show the scenery and enemies etc.

ATM you can get 15% off next game purchase by signing up with EB games online. I used my voucher for KZ2 so got it for $75.65 instead of the price matched $89 they had it for.

Will prob do the same to get halo wars I think.

Killzone 2 isn't an Xbox 360 game - if people want to talk about that, then there's a Sony forum available.

I'm curious what is going to happen with support for this game and any future updates :S considering the studio is closing down and a new studio (forget the name) with the existing staff is being setup...but no word if that new studio will help in the support of the game

edit: answered my own question lol

Quote:
Recently formed Robot Entertainment has answered the question of who's going to support Halo Wars after its launch on March 3: the people who made it. Robot -- created by ex Ensemble Studios staff, including its founder, Tony Good -- will not only provide online support and community management for the Halo universe RTS, but will be working with Microsoft Game Studios to create future content for the game.
Since that is the case, it would be nice to see new units and structures adding to the game in the future.

I was thinking the same about Braid too last night. Do I get it or not...?

Wasn't a big fan of the demo but something keeps telling me to give it a chance and get it for that price.
