Default EBGames Pre-owned with no covers

The missus recently brought home Kung Fu panda from Ebgames preowned ($30 not a bad price..) for xbox360. It came with no cover and no manual etc just the ebgames "Pre owned" thing and Kung Fu Panda written in texter :P

My question is - is it illegal to download the proper covers and print them out? I own the game right?

That said, if its not illegal whats a good place to get them?

Its not something you need to worry about, just download it and print it out. I believe most copyright issues stem from people using other people's work for their own credit or profit...

As long as you don't try to sell it or trade it in with your dodgy printed cover you will be fine.

I could see that being a problem if trying to pass it off as the original cover, but if you clearly state that "the cover was lost and this is a just a copy of the cover" would that still be an issue?

Nothing wrong with that at all. Many people also make custom covers for their games to share.

I don't think so, but they would just rip out the fake cover and re-sell it without a cover anyway so you may as well save them the trouble.

When I bought GTA4 from Big W, I picked up a display case on the shelf, took it to the counter & expected a 'new' case all rapped up in plastic (not opened).

Nope, I got the display case (which is a scan/photocopy of one off the net) but got everything else inserted inside the case itself (disc, manual etc).

Looking at it now, it's actually a scan/photocopy of the case they put out on the shelf before the game is released.

It says, "Coming April 29th, 2008".

trading in the game would be a problem.. other than that I don't think it matters. JBhifi wouldn't accept my trade in once because it didn't have a cover

EBgames seems to be okay with it, i traded in a game recently without a cover and they were happy to take it.

EBgames must be ok with it as they sell heaps of "pre-owned" games without covers :P

Seems to knock the price down a lot when they are missing too. My copy of kungfu panda was $29.95

coversclub.com is better for games, better quality and have alot cdcovers dont have.

What EB sold you was one of the kung fu pandas that came bundled with lego indiana jones with the consoles for a while, you arent supposed to resell the package as they are in the same double sided case, so they put it in a blank case and sell it to you.
