Default No laptop keyboard when on server

When I log into my laptop as the local admin I have no problems at all but when I log onto our work server my keyboard just doesn't work. I currently plug it into an external keyboard and mouse to get around the issue but want the ability to use my keyboard laptop.

What can cause this?
