I like PC-A04 case but its not small, i dont see any point using mini ITX mobo on that case when u can easily fit a micro ATX mobo.

Lian-Li also have the PC-Q08: Mini-ITX with 7 HDD bays (6x3.5" 1x2.5") It is a lot smaller than the A04.

http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product...ndex=64&g=spec

Has some decent cooling for a mini-ITX case too. 140mm front intake, 120mm top exhaust, max HSF height approx 120mm. If you slide out the lower drive cage (2x bays) you can fit a 30mm long video card too.

Put together a m-itx system for my friend today, no pics as it's not quite done but thought I'd throw up the specs.
SG06 with the 300w cpu
Zotac H55N WIFI (the second revision)
i7 870
8gb ddr3
GT 560ti
500gb laptop hdd (he's getting an ssd soon)
Blu ray drive from his old laptop (more about this below)

So thoughts on his system.

Went the 560 as I was worried the 6950 may not fit without modding the case, it was a bit cheaper and similar performance. The 6pin plugs are on the back of the card
However I thought at umart after some mucking around with the GPU it would fit, and taking it home it does indeed fit, this was the leadtek 560ti, I believe it's reference.
The blu ray drive from his old laptop uses that annoying 50pin connector, and the adaptors on ebay look like they'll be too big for the case, so my plan is to get a portable USB enclosure for it, pull the circuitboard out and mod it into the case, and plug the usb ports into the internal header.

The only bad thing I found was that the case is a bitch to route cables in, whoever placed the 4pin power connector on the mobo should be shot, and the i7 870's HSF is woefully inadequate (loading at 95 in bc2). What coolers are people using as a replacement?

All in all it's pretty fkn wicked

Awesome HTPC, droopz! Going to be a good talking piece when you have people over I bet!

Here's some pics of my M17X next to my M11X, and in my new desktop docking/cooling station with external monitors/peripherals.

Cheers.

The HTPC uses XMBC 10.1 + Transparency Skin, still on windows though so I can use it for random things if I need to.

Data is stored on a file server and aquired via SabNbz + Sickbeard.

I love the idea, are you worried about dust/pets at all?
