Asus M51V line out issue

Was watching a show on the laptop when suddenly the right speaker stopped transmitting sound. Tried with headphones n stuff and its still the right side that isnt working. Just then i turned up volume on the laptop and there was sound coming through the left headphone but the sound was all muffled. Speakers on the laptop are workign fine. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? thx!
