Default Laptop battery question

I was just wondering is the bad to leave the battery in the laptop while it is turned "off" for 2 to 3 days? Will leaving the battery in the laptop cause the battery to drain faster than if it was taken out when laptop is turned "off"

No, you can't damage your battery by leaving it in, if anything it's good to power cycle your battery occasionally so it's used for its intended purpose.

Yes I figured this out the hard way. I used my laptop on power the whole christmas and when I took it back to school the battery lasted about 3 and a half hours when it used to last 5-6.

did u leave the battery inside or took out?

i took out my asus laptop battery since day 1, about 1 year later, it still lasts the same time as in day 1.

however the storage condition plays a major parts, such as heat.

They should be lithium ion cells. It's not good to store them on "empty".

40% charge is the ideal storage condition.
