I ordered a laptop from dell on the 12 March using my EPP(student) discount and have been waiting ever since for an ETA on when the laptop will arrive, or even start to get built.
I sent an email to the field techs who seem to live in Australia, asking whats going on with my laptop. They gave me no direct respose back, but instead replied to my email, and one of their collegues asking "Please can you take ownership of this EPP order.". About 2 days later(26/03/2009) I get a call saying they had to cancel my order and remake a brand new order and that ill have to wait anohter 7-10 working days. Then i actually receive the new order on the 27/03/2009, exactly 10 working days after my order. I have been trying to get answers to WHY this has taken so long, but mainly WHY did they cancel my order which has forced me to wait another possibly 10 working days. I have emailed dell themselves, emailed 2 field techs, called dell multiple times, promised a call back and got no replie from any of these attempts. So my question is how do you actually send a complaint to dell?? Who do I talk to? Has this happened to anyone else? What do i do now, can i hurry them along, can i get my money back? I need the laptop for university urgently. Dell seem to just not care or just incapable of understanding or resolving my problem in the easiest way possible. |

Dell customer service has really gone to shit lately, to the point where I will no longer buy from them. All you can do is call their customer service phone number and ask to escalate the case or request a refund. 1800-812-393.
