Default Acer Recovery Disk?

Anyone know where I can get an acer backup disk reasonably quickly?

Want to see if the Acer 5920 that I suspect has HDD problems, but may just be file corruption (its not my machine but the in laws)

They are nagging me, so Id like to get rid of it back to acer (its under warranty) or reinstall Vista (but dont want to do off a normal disc as id stuff up the partitioning etc) Ive used the (legal) Vista recovery disc but that didnt work either (freezes up black screen and mouse cursor, no recovery options have fixed vista but did find a few file problems before that.

Get in touch with Acer and see if they can sort some recovery media out for you (expect it to cost you though).

Had the hard drive in my old 4920g take a dump on me and it made the hidden recovery partition unusable so we just installed a retail copy of vista and had a bitch of a time finding drivers. Then the screen started going screwey, sent the whole unit back and asked if they could re image the hard drive, which they said they do as standard, and when it came back they hadnt done it.

The turn around time isnt too bad. Was a week from it getting picked up by the courier to having it arrive back at work. And they even had to pull the thing apart and replace the graphics card and connector running to the screen.
