Default HP DV5-1140TX LED Annoyance

Ok, i purchased a DV5-1140TX because its got 4GB ram ( i can only see 3GB but i blame 32bit), a 9600GT, and had twin 320GB's (one is a usb media drive) in a 15.4'' form factor and the price was right.

however i have a bugbear thats annoying me.
not enough to get rid of it... the keyboard is heaven and im getting wifi networks around the place on "N" that i never knew existed...

the LED's

1 - The top media keys
2 - The glowing "mac style" LED on the back

the main ones i want to ditch are the ones above the keyboard as they bug the crap out of me!

i just want them to be dim......

any ideas ?

Unless you want to take it apart, i'm not sure if there is any other way.

Thanks

In Melbourne it is going for $1799 with $100 Cash back. That is advertised price though, so some haggling may come in to it!

Besides the Lights are you happy with the Computer as a whole?? Performance wise etc. Build Quality etc etc.

Cheers Chappie.

sadly i cant comment on what its like in its most basic specs,
the day i got it, i upgraded it to 8GB ram, threw in a WD Black edition 7200RPM Drive and put x64 Windows7 on it,

but otherwise its great

and after some hacking around today, im going to change the LED's to something more suiting the colour scheme in my room at night, white led's stand out like dogs balls... so i will change them... as they are now i have got them covered
