Also Leroy's asked for all 8 will see if he doesn't mind splitting. (the number of Fans that is.)

Am considering getting a new mobo (an MSI 890FXA-GD70) and as I will be in Australia in a few weeks just checking for any interest in my K9A2 plat.
1 year old works fine, has the box and all the usual inside.
This famous gpu folding board should need no introduction, but AM2+ 4 double spaced PCIE slots, has been running 4 GTX 260s, can run hexcores with a bios update..

edit: Oh I will be in Melbourne, also in NZ for a week.

edit: As there were no concrete expressions of interest, did not bring this board with me, so not available for now.

I haven't been a member for three months so can't trade but have a Dell 2650 rack server sitting around doing nothing. I'll give it away to the OCAU Folding team if someone in Adelaide is willing to come get it and run it. I was going to use it myself but didn't realise they sound like a 747 taking off when they are running. Has a fresh install of server03 and all runs 100%. Contact me via email. I'm only going to give it to someone who is going to use it for the project so no scammers please.

I was transferring my 8800GT from the system it was in - whose watercooling system has failed - into another system so it could keep Folding until I get the original system back up. Unfortunately the card didn't like being moved and is now decorating everything with blue dots

Does anyone have any suggestions where I might be able to pick up 2 or 3 8800GTs (or better) for a good price?

I asked in this thread because I ONLY use these cards for Folding. If I didn't Fold, these systems would have 6600s or older. I can't upgrade to new cards because I simply don't have the money

There are a bunch of 8800GT's on sale here now, I think one guy had maybe three, all single slot ones for multi-gpu folding fun.

I'm not having much luck with hardware at the moment

Last night I found the watercooling system on my Pentium D has stopped working properly (full load temp ~80C when it's usually <60)
My P4 2.4 (8 yrs old) died last week (leaking capacitors causing major instability). Then the 8800 died, and to top it off, the MX440 I bought for another old system turned out to be DOA

I think my uncle has put a curse on me

He was living in my computer room for 15 months, and I kicked him out 3 weeks ago. Since then, everything I've worked on has broken

edit: I just remembered the side fell off the case and the fan duct thingy hit the 8800GT pretty hard. I retested the card and it works properly if I bend it slightly. So it may yet be fixable...

Now that everyone's got these shiny new GTX 460s

is anyone selling off their old GTX 275s?
Just I have a spot for one or 2, as I can't be bothered trying to run GPU2 and GPU3 in the same box.
Currently I am in Melbourne (Coburg).
Don't care if they have been thrashed will be thrashing them myself 24/7 folding

Don't need the box or accessories, just a working card (or 2).
